Borrowers Statement

By becoming a patron of the Wayne County Public Library, I agree and acknowledge that I understand the rules and responsibilities presented to me and will abide by the rules. Failure to comply with these policies will result in my being denied access to any or all library services.

Rules & Responsibilities

• New patrons will be limited to three items at a time until they return the postcard mailed to them when they apply for a library card. The postcard is a way of assuring the correct mailing address.
  
• The patron is solely responsible for determining the suitability of any library material borrowed for themselves of for their audience.
  
• Patrons are responsible for full replacement cost of any lost or damaged library material(s).
  
• Books check out for two weeks and can be re-checked twice.
  
• Red-dotted paperbacks check out for thirty days.
  
• We no longer charge overdue fines. You will not be charged any fee, if the book is returned in good condition.

DVD & Blu-Ray

• MUST BE 18 & up to check out movies.
• The library is not responsible for any damage that may occur to your equipment as a result of using library materials.
  
• There is a 5 movie checkout limit per patron and they are due back in 4 days. Limit of 8 per household across multiple patrons' cards.
  
• We no longer charge overdue fines. You will not be charged any fee if the DVD or Blu-Ray is returned in good condition.

Audiobooks & music cd's

• Audiobooks and music cd's check out for two weeks.
• We no longer charge overdue fines. You will not be charged any fee if the audiobook or music cd is returned in good condition.

Computer Use

• Computer users must get a PIN number at the front counter before each use.
  
• Black and white pages printed are 10 cents per sheet.
  UNLESS, black and white copy is 11x17 (ledger) size, these copies are .50 a page.
  
• To print in color is 50 cents per sheet.
